Roux at The Landau, London was, ultimately, a disappointment. It started so well, with a nice welcome and spectacular dining room. But fine dining is all about the food and the good service and setting could not make up for a dreadfully disappointing main course. If you go for the top table set menu, do not choose the chicken. It was cold, tasteless and utterly unappealing. Other courses were better and the staff did their best to make my fathers birthday special. But the main was just so poor.
Roux at the Landau, London W1. Enjoyed our evening, but may not return. Much prefer Le Gavroche.
Roux at The Landau for a late lunch mid-week. Food was of very high standard, good flavours and very well presented, very 'honest' food but lacking fireworks, slightly disappointed. Excellent service. Bit expensive if without offer. Would recommend for a nice dinner date.
Roux at the Langham has a wonderful and relaxing feel about the restaurant. The menu and wine list is superb! Excellent food, thank you......
Excellent food for a special evening. Service was a bit to slow to start with but highly impressive for the rest of the meal. They give you lots of little extras and wasn't as expensive as some may seem for the quality of the food.
