The Prince Arthur
About The Prince Arthur
This gorgeous British boozer in London Fields is the favourite haunt of Hackney hipsters, real ale connoisseurs and arty socialistas. Decorated with an eclectic collection of taxidermy and forest green leather banquettes, this chic and cosy restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy meals with friends and loved ones, and is a popular spot for parties and Sunday brunch. We love the bubble and squeak cake with a fried quail's egg; the oven-baked rabbit with confit garlic mash and whole grain mustard veloute; and the scrumptious deep-fried jam sandwich with ice cream for dessert. The bar, which is perfect for pre/post dinner drinks, also has an excellent range of premium ales, draught lagers and boutique wines.

The Prince Arthur, London Fields. Surprisingly busy for a Monday evening but there was a pub quiz taking place. The promotional menu was good value at £16 for 2 courses & a glass of wine (available Mon-Wed). The slow cooked pork belly and fish pie were both very tasty. For dessert we had poached English plums, shortbread & mascarpone, and rum, raisin & chocolate cheesecake which were both delicious. I'd recommend this pub both for the quality of its food and nice atmosphere.
The Prince Arthur was a great find in Hackney. We ate dinner and the food was tasty (although the lamb was perhaps a bit too fatty) and the chips served with the steak were amazing. Service was good and not too attentive. Lovely local!
We visited the Prince Arthur near London Fields for early dinner on a Saturday night. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, the service was a little slow but to be fair it was exceptionally busy. All in all, would definitely recommend and would go again.
The Prince Arthur was lovely - really friendly and attentive service and excellent food. I would wholeheartedly recommend. Just be a bit careful with the area though - I am well used to London but I did see one person being stopped by the police on my walk from the bus to the pub and a smashed car windscreen directly opposite. I was glad I had someone to walk with when I left at last orders.
Prince Arthur, London Fields. Had fish & chips, and fish pie for mains, and rhubarb crumble for dessert all of which was very tasty and nicely presented. The pub was quite busy but the service was ok. Nice atmosphere. Not my first visit and will be going again.
