About Punjab58

Located on the extremely busy Stoke Newington Church Street in this exciting corner of North London, Punjab58 stands out from the crowd because of its dedication to excellence in food and service. A cleanly comfortable dining room is the setting for many an evening spent indulging in good food and even enjoying a show – the Punjab58 kitchen team work in a theatre kitchen allowing you to appreciate their efforts even before you taste them. This approach confirms to the diner that everything here is freshly cooked on demand, with even spices blended and roasted freshly for each dish. Of course the focus is very much on Punjabi cuisine, one of the most celebrated in the world, and here you’re invited to experience classic specialties cooked to authentic recipes in traditional ways, in particular the kitchen’s tandoor put to good use. Alongside the extensive menu, Punjab58 offers a good selection of beers and wines as well as delicious cocktails for an extra splash of indulgence.

Good food and speedy service.

Even though I got a confirmation email, the following day I got a phone call from toptable customer services telling me that there was an error in the system and the restaurant had no tables available. First time it happened, but hopefully will have the change to try Punjab58 at a different ocasion!

When we get a craving for North Indian food, there's no better place to go than Punjab 58. The food is delicious, spicy and well flavoured without being greasy, with excellent vegetarian options and lovely breads, pappadoms and relishes. All our friends like it too. The paneer tikka and bhaingan bharta are particularly good.

Good food that is different from that of most "Indian" restaurants. Well worth a visit.
