Spice Market London on Wardour Street is a great venue with a trendy vibe and phenomenal service. It's just a little shame the prices aren't as friendly as the New York venue. That said, I'll be back...
Had the tasting menu which was great. Highlights were the cod and desserts. Service was really good, just the right amount of attention. Downsides was the usual pretentious rubbish that you can't enter the bar of the hotel it's based in after spending a fortune in the restaurant. It's also based right in tourist territory so mega busy.
Absolutely smashing venue. The food was simply delicious with the most interesting blend of spices. The service was very attentive, and the couch type seating was very relaxing and comfortable. Totally overpriced for what you get, but the ambience is unbeatable.
After having a great experience in the New York restaurant I was looking forward to trying out the London venue. The decor is very luxurious& we sat in a really cool booth for two. Disappointingly the restaurant wasn't full and there were a few empty tables beside us which detracted from the atmosphere. The food was fantastic, as flavoursome as you would expect. The biggest negitive for me was the ludicrously expensive wine list- £32 for the cheapest bottle is not in line with London prices.
Spice Market is a great venue. The staff were very friendly but a little on the disporganised side. It didn't impact on our experience and we had a great night.
