The Four Lanterns
About The Four Lanterns
Full of Greek charm, The Four Lanterns has been a favourite of central London restaurant-goers for many, many years. In fact, since 1970 this unpretentious slice of Greece – named after a famous Cypriot bridge, Ta Tessera Phanaia in Limassol - has given Londoners a taste for the Ionian lifestyle with its warm, hospitable welcome, cosy, authentic surroundings and delicious, sunny food. Gourds and lamps hang from the beamed ceiling of The Four Lanterns, smiling waitresses dart between the tables and the smells of charcoal grilling waft from the kitchen. It’s an evocative experience made all the more sensuous with the arrival of your meal – traditional Greek dishes ranging from light, fresh salads to hearty, flavoursome kebabs.

The Four Lanterns in Marylebone is a dinky little family restaurant which is low on frills but high on good, authentic Greek food and friendly service. We both had beef and shared a Greek salad: it was all fresh and well-cooked. Good place for a bite to eat with a friend; perhaps a tad too basic if you were considering going on a date.
We had a lovely evening at the four lanterns. We had a very warm welcome and the service was great. The food was very nice but there is too much garlic in the tarama. We will go back with pleasure
This was our second visit to the Four Lanterns, Marleybone, London. Fantastic meal, made very welcome again, well worth a visit.
I went to the Four Lanterns on Cleveland Street last night for the first time and have to say I was absolutely delighted by the food and the atmosphere. I will definitely go back there.
