Foxtrot Oscar – Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in smartest Chelsea in southwest London - has been an adored local favourite since 1980. That was a decade of mad indulgence and this stylishly louche dining and drinking den was a divine upmarket hangout. Gordon Ramsay spotted it in 1998 when he opened his own flagship restaurant a few doors and away and found his own staff chilling out there most evenings after hours of hard graft at the pass. He bought it, refurbished both dining room and menu and sprinkled it with Ramsay charm. Now Foxtrot Oscar is an informal upmarket bistro with sleek, warm décor, walls hung with fabulous monochrome photography, a chilled ambience and relaxed but professional service.
