My boss visits Franco's almost weekly. Reliable choice for business lunches, dinners etc. So far has not disappointed on food or service.

My Spaghetti was a bit bland but my fellow diner Lamb cutlets, potatoes, spinach and mushrooms was really good. The atmosphere was really nice, the service was not great, the Waitor got the desert order wrong and he wasn't very friendly.

If you've never tried burrata, you haven't lived. This is the ultimate mozzarella. For pasta, I chose strozzapretti with prawns and broad beans. My friends had the black taglionli with crab and courgettes (wow!) and a four cheese and truffle ravioli (which I wish I had ordered as well). Classic Veal Milanese was perfectly executed. After a pause, we shared an Italian cheeseboard and fresh fruit plate. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Drink the Keramos 2007 riserva from Sardinia, superb!

Franco's is an upmarket restaurant that manages to retain a family atmosphere. It serves excellent Italian fare. Book ahead though as it is very popular
