Franklins is a much-loved south east London restaurant that is renowned for its neighbourhood vibe and gourmet British menu. Only a ten minute walk from the East Dulwich tube station on Lordship Lane, Franklins is a welcoming local eatery with an award-winning Farm Shop next door. The Franklins Farm Shop made the ELLE Decoration Hot List in 2011, and the restaurant prides itself on its seasonal menu ethically sourced from the British Isles and surrounding waters. The daily menu includes classics from Colchester rock oysters to strawberry fool with shortbread, and East Dulwich locals love coming here for lunch dates, dinner parties and dates. The restaurant has counter seating as well as regular tables, and the general atmosphere is jovial and upbeat. A little south east London gem, Franklins is an unpretentious yet discerning choice for any occasion.

Franklins a good, solid choice for a relaxing Sunday brunch
Lovely I will be going back, the food was good service was friendly if a bit slow.
Great atmosphere.
My wife and I went to a celebratory dinner at Franklins in East Dulwich on a Friday evening. The service is always good here and the ambience as well. One thing about Franklins is the menu always has unique items that you typically don't find elsewhere. Though sometimes there are several items that don't catch my eye, the variety and uniqueness is nice and everything I eat there is very well made. Definitely recommend.
Franklins was ok. The food was nice but the service was terrible. I wouldn't put hurry back
