The Pig's Ear

About The Pig's Ear

The Pig's Ear is a charismatic British restaurant in Chelsea set inside an ancient pub in the oldest part of the Royal Borough. Located just yards away from London’s fashionable King’s Road, the restaurant boasts a quaint frontage and the atmosphere here is delightful – we love the fairy lights, vintage red lampshades, zinc-topped bar and eclectic second-hand furniture. Popular with the gourmet gastropub set, The Pig’s Ear is often booked out, so try to book ahead. With high-end dishes on the menu like the wild mallard with savoy cabbage, miso-glazed turnips and sour cherries alongside stalwarts like steak and chips and macaroni with cheese – The Pig’s Ear pleases punters of all persuasions. The oak-panelled dining room upstairs has its own fireplace, and the bar has a selection of Czech, Belgian and German lagers alongside the best of British ales. The wine list also boasts both old and new world wines.

We went to the pigs ear in Chelsea and were amazed by the quality of the food! In fact the whole experience was excellent. I shared a rib of beef with my wife which was succulent, perfectly cooked and wonderfully rich. Served with bone marrow which was interesting. Desert was to die for, sticky toffee banana and cream, lasted about 30 seconds! Great food, fantastic service and beautiful surroundings. 10 out of 10!

great food as usual - would have been good to see a chicken dish on the menu, but apart from that it was very nice.

really bad service - waited 15 minutes for menus then another 15 minutes for them to see what we wanted and then 15 minutes for the drinks.....and it carried on in this theme. no rudeness, just disinterested. however, i will definitely go back because the food was amazing -absolutely fantastic. please please sort out the service.

The upstairs room at the Pig's Ear is really nice. The food is good gastropub stuff and the wine list has some excellent not-too-expensive choices.

The Pig's Ear is a good pub with great atmosphere. Food was all delicious, albeit expensive. Staff very friendly. We had a fantastic time and will go back shortly.
