Frontline Restaurant
About Frontline Restaurant
The Frontline Club restaurant is a welcome haven from the bustling streets of London’s Paddington, and it’s probably a welcome haven from the war zones that many of its regulars report from. The restaurant is part of the Frontline media club that uniquely combines eating, drinking and thinking. Profits from the restaurant support the charitable work of the Frontline Forum with its weekly programme of cutting edge documentaries and discussions that ensure the world’s causes and crises that fade from the headlines are kept in sharp focus. Traditional British cuisine is sourced from specialist, independent producers and the fish is supplied directly from small boats off England’s east coast. The Frontline Club’s menu is unpretentious, uncompromising on quality and priced to be easy on the pocket. Malcolm Gluck himself created the wine list featuring an array of unusual and out-of-the-way bottles at, as Gluck himself says,”afordable, non-rip-off prices”.

The Frontline Club near Paddington was just all right! I went for a business lunch, and the decor was better than some of the food, but it was quite good. I got the lemon sole whcih was very nice, but the goats cheese winter salad left much to be desired. Service wasn't as prompt as I would like, but I would go back, back. The apple and pear crumble was very nice!
The Frontline Club in Paddington is a haven of relaxation. From the decor and photography to the great service you really feel like you have just returned home from a challenging assignment reporting in some troublespot. The menu is simple yet very well prepared and the staff are very attentive.
Frontline Club, Paddington, London We had a great time there last night. We all loved our starter (squid) and our different mains (fish cake, lamb, fish/mussel) and desserts (black forest cake, rhubarb jelly, lemon meringue). All very tasty and sizable portions. We loved the ambience of the room (large windows, lighting, photograph decorations). Our wine was decent. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Would defintely return if in the area.
We arrived a little early for our 830 reservation at frontline near padding ton. Shown immediately to our table by helpful and pleasant staff. The meal was excellent and ribeye very tasty. No room for desserts but good coffee
Great dinner, wine and service at Frontline Club, London again. Will return.
