We went to Assaggetti on a Friday night. The venue itself is great and the staff was very friendly. While the main dish was lovely, both the starter and the dessert (Cannolino I think it was called) were rather disappointing and TINY.When I ordered a small portion of ravioli I got exaclty 4 small ravioli... I guess the concept is 'italian tapas', however, I wished they would have made this clear when we arrived. After all, when you chose Italian you don't expect to leave hungry.

Went to Assaggetti on Haymarket on a freind's recommendation. Plates were small, but of very high quality, very fresh, very reasonably priced. Staff very accommodating. Would definitely go again and recommend to friends.

Pleasant atmosphere, rapid service. Dishes small in size but still enjoyable.

Assaggetti brings the idea of tapas to Italian. There was plenty of choice for ‘small bites’ and there are also main courses on offer. Food was good, although I found my pizzetini too salty. Service was great to start, but declined slightly as the restaurant got busy. Just a personal preference; the ladies in my group would have preferred their wine in wine glass rather then a small tumbler. Overall a good choice.

The food was lovely. The service was quick and polite. Staff were never too far away when ever anything was needed. Portions were small but filling and delicious. We dined as a pre theatre meal and assagetti was perfect. We shared 6 small dishes ad 2 desserts between a couple. The atmosphere was great and the price was very reasonable too! I would recommend it and definitely visit again.
