Our table was not ready - not sure if this was a ploy but it worked. We had a couple of cocktails each which were divine! The £40 steak I ordered as it was my birthday was delicious. Everyone of us (6) were happy with our dinner. The evening was very expensive but so worth a special treat. Six of us had two cocktails, no starters, 3 bottles of wine, 6 steaks & side dishes, 3 desserts and 2 bottles of water = £100 per head including service + bus/train home as no cabs available due to snow!

Great food and good service at Gaucho Hampstead. Would have been helpful if waiter had explained cuts as we saw him doing for other tables. Otherwise a very nice evening; little extras like the bread made it different.

This was my second time in Gaucho. The service was not as good as the first time but the food was still amazing. You do pay for it though.

Gaucho in Hampstead is a typically swish branch of the Argentine steakhouse. It's terrifically expensive, costing us £150 for dinner for two, but worth it for an occasion. The focal point here is the beef, and rightly so - the staff are knowledgeable, and show you a board of different cuts before you eat. Once cooked, it is as good as they come, and starters, sides and desserts are all of a similarly high quality. Excellent selection of Argintinean wines as well. Recommended, just not every week
