Gow's Restaurant

About Gow's Restaurant

Gow’s Restaurant boasts a plum spot right next to London’s Liverpool Street Station. Fittingly, for it’s City location, Gow’s is very much an old-school establishment where the champagne and oysters flow freely (actually, Gow’s also have an oyster bar right upstairs!). The basement hosts the main restaurant, specialising in fresh seafood and classic dishes. Starters include Colchester rock oyster or hand-picked cab with horseradish cream, while mains feature dishes like smoked haddock with poached egg and creamed potatoes; or a host of succulent seafood platters for sharing. There are also vegetarian and non-fish options on offer for those that don’t fancy seafood. The dining room at Gow’s Restaurant has a welcoming ambience, with its warm lighting, white linen and framed artwork decorating the walls. Friendly staff are on hand to make you feel at home, and help make your special occasion even more special.

Went for the half lobster and a steak combo and it was very good. Lobster was very fresh, and the steak was surprisingly good. Impressed. Will visit soon.

Gow's Restaurant, London is expensive but a good restaurant that serves good sea food. It is somewhat hidden despite the location and is very pleasant. I booked it straight after the first visit.

Been for lunch at this new place for us - we've just moved offices and we're pretty quiet after the Easter break. Will definitely return. Food spot on, a blend of comfort and some more modern dishes. Tuna was excellent with a chilli and lime marinade. I'd return for that alone. Not too pricey either which is good for the City.
