Quietly nestled on a mews between Berkeley Square and Bond Street, Greig's has a reputation as London's best steak restaurant. Founded by Alistair Greig in 1959, its philosophy remains; the best ingredients cooked simply. Popular stalwarts on the menu are great British staples as shepherd's pie and roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Floor to ceiling oak-panelling, thick white linen, £1000 Rothschild wines, this is typical Mayfair restaurant, naturally attracting well-off 40-something with a weakness for family-butcher Scotch steaks. Should you wonder how many wine bottles that line the restaurant walls, the answer is around 3,000 - most of them French, all seriously good. Greig's, 26-28 Bruton Place, Mayfair, London, W1J 6NG - Good steaks but restaurant seems to be from another age and service is reasonable but not attentive.
Greig's - London Mayfair. 4000 points reward meal from TT. Menu was 3 courses (3 choices per course)including fillet steak as a main, which was extremely good (very tender, perfectly cooked).Only let down was dessert, my partner had the chocolate mousse which was rock hard! Overall very pleased with the reward meal. Booking was tricky :right way to do it when u go as a couple is to do 2 bookings online for 1 diner and then phone TT so then can contact the restaurant and put you on 1 table.
Greigs, Mayfair. Used 4000 points for one meal (two diners). Wasn't expecting a lot as this was a part rewards meal, however very pleased with the whole experience. Excellent ambience, excellent staff, and best of all superb food. The fillet steak is the best I have had.. better than Gaucho's and that's saying something! Most reward venues have dining restrictions and small choice but Greigs offers no day or time restrictions and offers a good menu choice. We will definately be going back. :-)

There is not much to say regarding Greig's aside from the very simple fact that the food, service & surroundings are exemplary. Quality ingredients treated with respected !! All of this is partnered by a wine list that stretches from a reasonable Rioja to Petrus & my own favourite, Mouton Rothschild ! Greig's is a gem !!
