The Grove Bar & Restaurant

About The Grove Bar & Restaurant

This fun and funky neighbourhood restaurant brings the twin disciplines of Mediterranean restaurant and gastropub to Hammersmith, providing a little holiday sunshine even on the greyest London day. A relaxing oasis in W6, The Grove’s greenery lined pavement area, covered by its huge green awning, gives a clue as to what’s inside – aqua painted panelling, cream walls, stripped floors and giant terracotta urns – all bringing to mind a favourite holiday destination, especially when the sun floods through those wide windows. With a daily changing menu, The Grove keeps things fresh and organic wherever possible, combining that Mediterranean vibe with good old fashioned British comfort eating.

Grove Bar and Restaurant - good location for meal before Apollo Hammersmith event. Food was pretty good from the evening set menu. starter fishcake a bit dry, liver and bacon main excellent, fruit panacotta a bit disappointing. Reasonable choice of wines by the glass, my Malbec good.

Went on a Monday so was quiet and not many people. Service and food good. Would like more variety for vegetarians but overall I would go again.

Great little sun trap. First meal outdoors in the "summer" sun and it was great. The food was good and I will definitely be going back.

We had an early supper from the set menu at the Grove, Hammersmith yesterday evening. There was a good choice of all 3 courses and it was good value for money. I had the veggie antipasto starter which was really delicious & would recommend. We both had the calves liver & bacon and one of the pieces of liver on my plate was chewy with inedible sinew, disappointing. My husbands portion was fine.
