There are three areas to suit the mood: an intimate restaurant with white linen, an informal candlelit brasserie or private rooms, all offering a warm, comfortable Parisian-style decor. During nicer weather there are also romantic outside tables - perfect for canoodling over a glass of wine or two. Menus change every two weeks to reflect the seasons and offer the best of the best of modern British/European cuisine. Starters could include everything from smoked sea trout salad with horseradish dressing to leek, almond and Parmesan tart. Old favourites such as fish and chips with pea purée sit alongside retro classics such as Wiener Schnitzel. Desserts are comfortingly traditional – rhubarb crumble with custard, chocolate tart and gooseberry and elderflower jelly. An eclectic wine list brings the meal together nicely, and with many great bottles for under £20, it's easy on the pocket. A perfect partner to Marylebone life, complete with friendly staff.
