Master cheesemongers and maturing experts, the House of Androuet was established in Paris (where else?) in 1909 and ever since has held a reputation as one of the world’s leading proponents of the dairy stuff. Now with additional branches in Paris, Stockholm and in the UK, Androuet continues to lead the market. This, the most recent addition to the brand is glamorously Parisian, of course, with a glorious faded grandeur in its washed out velvets, elaborate chandeliers and decadently printed wallpapers. Not only a shop selling a world of fine cheeses, Androuet is also an acclaimed restaurant, providing that traditional French family-run feel and sublimely authentic food raved about by gastronomes the city over. In addition to enjoying raclettes and tartiflettes galore in the cosily bourgeois dining room, guests may take their dining al fresco - Androuet has a spacious terrace with powerful heaters, a rare treat in this, the very heart of the City.

Good food, good location and ambience and clearly good Cheese, although would have liked a larger selection, given its a cheese shop by day. Only 1 toilet which can results in queues would be the only real negative point.
Love this place! Cheese fondue? Yes! Only issue was the waitress wasn't very pleasant, could have smiled a little mire and she didn't write down our orders so had to return to confirm a couple of things. Still one of my faves.
Androuet, London. This hide-away is a little bit of Paris in Spitalfields. The ambience is perfect for an intimate evening with friends. The service was impeccable and the staff's expertise in the cheeses available incredible. The offerings are absolutely marvellous, with a sublime range of rare and delicious cheeses. The selection of cheese is perfectly matched to the comprehensive wine list to suit a plethora of palates. A great night out, I would highly recommend.
Androuet in Spitalfields Market, London. Very good night out. We were a large group (12), but the restaurant still gave good service, although they are better set up for a more intimate evening (I didn't know how big the restaurant was when I booked). Definite recommendation for cheese lovers.
Androuet at Spitalfields Market has great atmosphere, excellent waiting staff who were able to give good advice on the menu and wine list. Not a lot of options for anyone who doesn't like cheese... but why would you go to a cheese restaurant if you didn't?
