Hong Kong City Restaurant, London This is my local. Nice food, service was rather poor due to many new staff.
My 2nd time for dim sum and this place has got to be my favourite. There were a few dishes I ordered that was not to my taste being adventerous, never again. Stick to what we like. Pity it was far and lots of traffic on the way travelling from East London, but the trip well worth it.
There was 10 of us and we dined on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly quiet not as busy as I thought it would be. The food was nice although we did have to wait awhile for it be served. The service was a bit slow considering it wasn't even busy. We ordered quite a few seafood dishes and I think the steamed seabass and scallops were excellent. My other favourite was the chicken with jellyfish. All in all we did have a good night.
Hong Kong City Restaurant serves excellent dim sum, which is one of the best in Peckham.
HK City Restaurant in Peckham serves very good dim sim. Polite waiters and excellent food!
