The Table
About The Table
The Table Café has embarked on a new venture to bring the best in live jazz, soul and funk as you dine on Friday and Saturday evenings, with more nights to follow. Musicians, bands and artists will take centre stage, bringing well established acts such as RB Funkestra, Katie Leone and Roland Perrin. Just a stone’s throw from the best of London’s South Bank, chic little restaurant The Table Café is one of the capital’s best-kept dining secrets. Though close to the Tate Modern and Borough Market, The Table Café bustles from dawn to dark with a clientele more often made up of returning local residents than tourists on a one-off visit. From co-owner Shaun Alpine-Crabtree’s sleek open kitchen comes an eclectic mix of modern British cuisine expertly prepared using locally sourced ingredients complemented by a seasonal wine list. Everything on The Table Café’s menu is produced in-house daily, from delicious breakfast loafs to the restaurant’s famous signature burger with its secret recipe sauce. With live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays and al fresco seating on the tree lined Farnham Place, it’s easy to see why a table at The Table is so in demand.

Nice place, quick and friendly service. Good for a working lunch, will definitely go back.
I have been here for Sunday brunch a few times, but on this occasion we went for dinner. We found the jazz triple to be a lovely addition to the night in terms of unexpected live music. The restaurant was not very busy even for a Friday night. The food however was bland and unpalatable. We ordered the fish option which was full of bones and was inedible. Needless to say they didn't charge for the main course as we complained; I think we'll stick to their Sunday brunch.
Atmosphere was really pleasant, service was good. Food was interesting but not as good as I hoped. Portions quite small. Still had a good evening.
Excellent
Nice place, mostly long tables, though we were luck enough to get one of the high table near the window. Service was good, food lovely, just the right portion. The set menu was very limited and almost nothing from it was on the normal menu, wasn't much of a deal at £25. It is worth just going for the normal menu as it is about the same price. The only disappointment was we went for the jazz on the Friday night and it had been cancelled but we still had a lovely evening.
