We've been to Il Convivio many times and always enjoyed it. The ambience is very nice and good for a quiet, romantic evening. Food is very good, though not on the cheap side. It would be a bit expensive without the TT offer. Recommended.

I had not been to Il Convivio(Ebury St.,SW1)for some time. Remembered it for very good food in a rather bland setting,and with not particularly welcoming staff. Yesterday, at lunchtime, the food was as good if not better than before,and the staff,from greeting to departure, were uniformly pleasant but not over-attentive.....or at all 'pushy' bearing in mind we had taken advantage of a 50% reduction on food. The wine list was good, with a helpfully wide range of prices.

Business lunch for two at Il Convivio. I had a la carte and my colleague ate from the special lunch menu. I had goats cheese and beetroot for starter, which was tasty/well balanced. He had leek and potato soup which he enjoyed. I had monkfish wrapped in courgette for main, which was fresh and well cooked. He had a risotto, which looked good. My dessert was a dark and white choc mousse which was thick, rich and delicious. Service attentive. Atmosphere fairly quiet but suited us. Bill approx £80.
