India Club
About India Club
The charmingly eccentric India Club Restaurant has remained much the same since its opening in 1946.
Hidden up a flight of stairs, India Club is one of London’s best kept secrets. Enter a timewarp, with portraits of the Independence era on the walls, bottle-green leather chairs, red lino flooring and wooden laminate tabletops. It is a British curry house of the first generation.
Authentic ‘home cooked’ South Indian cuisine at extraordinary value makes India Club an unforgettable dining experience. Specialities include Masala Dosa, Bhuna Lamb, Mughlay Chicken and Brinjal.

India Club, London. Excellent food and vibe as ever and the byo makes it great value as well!
The India Club in London is one of my favourites. The food is like a home-cooked meal, and you can't beat the history.
Great cheap eats in central location, this is a hidden gem.
The India Club - Strand, London: Rather mediocre food, which was cheap, but not that cheap. The only advantage is that it's a 'bring your own' restaurant.
I first started going to the India Club in the 1960s and it continues to live up to its reputation for very good home cooking and excellent value for money. It could do with retiring and replacing some of the chairs though!
