Eight Over Eight
About Eight Over Eight
The ever fashionable Kings Road in London may have more than its fair share of good restaurants but SW3’s Eight Over Eight is one of very few which really live up to the location. Buzzing and stylish, in keeping with its surroundings, Eight Over Eight’s interior matches up to its fabulous Pan-Asian menu, decorated in sleek monochrome tones with white dressed tables, black ash furnishings and designer statement lighting, all with a splash of Eastern character. Characterised by stunning cordon bleu style presentation and clean, discernable flavours, Eight Over Eight’s menus combine the best of Oriental flavours with a particular focus on Chinese and Japanese dishes, the dim sum and sushi being of particular note. Both contemporary and classic cocktails are offered on the Eight Over Eight drinks list, alongside a wide range of excellent old and new world wines. For less formal dining occasions the restaurant provides children’s menus and lunch specials at realistic prices.

I have never had a bad meal here, and again it didnt disappoint, the pork belly starter and dim sum starters were perfect, we shared the blackened cod (melted in your mouth like butter) the beef fell off the bone. I have only one minor feedback, they only had one bottle of the wine we chose but didnt tell us until we asked for a second!
Sunday lunch was busy but the ervice and food excellent.
Eight over Eight/ Kings Road Returned to its former glory; buzzy setting and well-dressed crowd; bar full of people with partying in mind on a Saturday night but didn't overwhelm the dining area. Interesting specials, reliable favourites on the menu, well executed. Staff very welcoming and flexible even when part of our party turned up 45 minutes late. Well done.
I went to Eight over Eight on Kings Road with a friend on a Tuesday night. Even at 10pm it was packed. Duck and watermelon salad is delicious and I highly recommend the sake.
Seabass is the best in London. Great deal on Sundays (40% I think).
