Oliver's Fish and Chips

About Oliver's Fish and Chips

The humble British chippy has had a bit of a makeover recently and among the best of this new generation of fish and chip restaurants in Oliver’s in London’s Belsize Park. Proudly cosy, seating just a few lucky guests, this bustling wee dining room is just packed with character reminiscent of mid-century British style, a time which could be considered the heyday of the fish supper. So you’ll find brick tiling, aluminum seating, and scrubbed wood tables alongside black and white flooring and the all important glass bottles of Heinz ketchup cosied up to salt and vinegar dispensers. Blending traditional fish and chips with Mediterranean seafood dishes, Oliver’s is dedicated to freshness and quality with ingredients very carefully sourced for every creation, from hearty main meals to the smaller snacks available throughout the day. Booking in advance is highly recommended to guarantee a spot in this charming restaurant growing in popularity every day.

Oliver's on Haverstock Hill is a busy Fish and Chips restaurant, offering both fried and grilled fish. I especially like their chips which are fat, crispy and hot. One portion is enough for two so don't over order. The grilled plaice was served without the bone, which made it easier to eat, although I prefer boning it myself. Friendly, efficient service.

Olivers. Lovely deck area downstairs. Delicious golden fried fish. Chips were a little on the soggy side. Friendly helpful service. Can smell of oil if sitting upstairs. Pricey fish and chips. Good location.
