Iniva
About Iniva
Iniva is a contemporary visual arts organisation which creates exhibitions, publications, multimedia, education and research projects. It was established in 1994 to address an imbalance in the representation of culturally diverse artists, curators and writers. Iniva is a registered charity, funded by Arts Council England and governed by a Board of Trustees. It hosts a range of exhibitions and events at Rivington Place which opened in October 2007. Rivington Place is the UK's first permanent public space dedicated to diversity in the visual arts and the first new public gallery to be built in London for 40 years since the Hayward Gallery.

Special Event16 Feb 2012
Activist and writer Meena Menon discusses the keyword 'union' in this Keywords Lecture. Keywords takes its title from Raymond Williams' seminal book Keywords: a Vocabulary of Culture and Society first published in 1976, which looks at how the meaning of words change as the context in which they are used changes about them. In this lecture writer and activist Meena Menon will explore the term 'union'.
