Carter Rooms

About Carter Rooms

Stylishly smart, the Carter Rooms are a welcome addition to the Rooms Bar Group, a collection of high quality bar dining rooms in London’s best locations. In the heart of the City, surrounded by Fleet Street, Farringdon and St Pauls, the Carter Rooms is a place where business and pleasure combine over food and drinks. Delightfully decorated in monotone with a large bar, subtle low-level lighting and classy furnishings – button backed banquettes, walnut tables and high stools against dark wood flooring and exposed brick. Manager Joel Constantino brings knowledge and enthusiasm to the Carter Rooms’ bar, overseeing a list of cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, classic and contemporary as well as numerous quality wines and champagnes by the glass and bottle. Meanwhile, Head Chef Colin Baker creates a menu of classic English flavour using fresh and seasonal ingredients, free range meats from Staffordshire’s Packington Farm and all British sourced ingredients. A DJ provides crowd pleasing tunes every Thursday and Friday evening at the Carter Rooms, the perfect soundtrack to a relaxed after work evening.

Carter Rooms - Lovely venue, quite plush inside which might be off-putting for those passing, but in no ways formal. Simple, informal service, nice food and Happy Hour between 12-2 on drinks which is an added lunchtime bonus if you work nearby. Nice environment to dine in, would reccommend.

lovely bar, excellent cocktails. The burger was good value on friday with the deal, but was quite small and could have done with something more in it (onions? gherkins? tomatoes?). Very friendly staff, but the music was less eclectic and more intrusive - should have stuck to loungy style for early friday eve when people were eating... and was frankly a bit loud

nice place but a bit dark when it's so sunny outside!

The carter rooms were good value for money with happy hour and 50% off with taste card, but thought the 12.5% service charge was strange/extortionate considering you order at the bar. Cocktails were really good and staff were friendly
