Traditional Italian home cooking is the order of the day in this West End Italian restaurant in the heart of theatre-land. The Italian Kitchen has a rustic feel reminiscent of those little trattorias you find in Tuscan villages. Dark wooden beams and gingham table clothes keep the interior just the right side of being twee and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Loyal regulars come back again and again for never-changing favourites, but seasonal additions keep it interesting. Start off with a traditional antipasti and move to freshly prepared pasta or pizza. Save room for desserts -- the panna di campagna fantasia (apple bread pudding served with hot caramel sauce) should definiately be on your don't miss list.

Itakian Kitchen, New Oxford St, Bloomsbury, First class attentive service from the moment we walked in made this an excellent way to finish our day following a visit to the theatre. Authentic surroundings and an excellent food and at a reasonable price. Will definately reccommend to friends,
The service was very good. We were offered a taste of two bottles of wine to assist in our choice. The veal and mushroom was very good as was the lamb shank according to my dining companion. We shared a starter of squid which was flavoursome and tender. The smashed potatoes was served cold and waswatery. When asked if our meal was ok I mentioned the potatoes which wereleft on my plate. As a result I wasn't charged for them and we received a complimentary Lemoncello which was a nice gesture.
Very good service, good food and good ambience
I had not been to the Italian Kitchen for a long time and it doesn't disappoint as a cosy, friendly place to eat with decent food - quite heavy on the garlic sometimes! Excellent service.
The Italian Kitchen in Bloomsbury was very convenient for the British Museum. Cheerful little place, friendly staff. Bruchetta was more like cheese on toast but there we are. House wine reasonable price.
