Canta Napoli

About Canta Napoli

Experience a little taste of Italy at Canta Napoli, a welcoming restaurant located on Teddington’s busy High Street. Upbeat and lively yet at the same time entirely relaxed, Canta Napoli is a favourite with locals, providing the ideal combination of good food, comfortable surroundings and friendly and efficient service. Decorated in deep red and dotted with large black and white stills from Italian films of days gone by, Canta Napoli’s dining room is just the place to kick back after a hard day in the office or tending to the kids. Specialising in the very best and most authentic of Italian dishes, Canta Napoli’s kitchen insists on importing ingredients directly from the land of the boot in order that traditional recipes can be followed to the letter. Pizzas and pasta dishes are accompanied on menu by delicious steaks and hamburgers, as well as other well known and less often sampled Italian specialties. Don’t leave without sampling the restaurant’s desserts, Neapolitan favourites very rarely served in the UK.

Pleasant and friendly service. A relaxed, buzzy local place with an authentic Italian menu. We started with olives and bread. Followed by good pizzas of generous portion.

Our review of Canta Napoli is based on pizzas only as both of us choose these from the menu. Our verdict was that while the toppings were nice (good mozarella used), the bases were too thick to be authentic. Added to this the atmosphere was not great as we were seated practically underneath a noisy coffee machine, despite having booked and other tables being free. We're not rushing back.

Rustic Italian food and friendly service. Generous portions which are very good value for money.
