Good food. Different tapas style plates each with their own very distinctive tastes. Wine especially is very expensive 10 pounds for a class, expect to pay around 50-80 pounds a head. Downstairs dining is communal, everyone sits around 2 large tables, go upstairs for a more intimate dining experience.
Nopi (downstairs), Soho. Really didn't appear to be any difference between ground floor & basement; would choose ground floor next time. Went for brunch but only lunch menu available. food absolutely delicious but overall, total bill was very expensive for the small amt of food. Think I prefer Ottolenghi unless someone else is paying. Best toilets ever, though!
Nopi is a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly, and the downstairs canteen area has a great buzz, being able to see right into the busy kitchen. The food is absolutely fantastic - the recommended 3 savory dishes per person is spot on. Thoroughly recommend - more formal traditional tables upstairs, and canteen style downstairs.
Nopi - downstairs means in the larder next to the kitchen but kudos to their extraction fan system. If you are vegetarian the good news is the food is nice the bad news is the portions are excessively small. Meat dishes are much more robust. However, essentially Nopi is expensive tapas and whilst good quality, not good enough (or indeed plentiful enough) to warrant the price tag. Loved the vanilla rice pudding. Scared of the hall of mirrors toilets (but go for the experience).
Way too expensive for those small plates. Asian influence but nothing you haven't seen before. Definitely not worth it. 3 platee per person as suggested cost just under 50 GBP. At Arbutus, 1 Michelin Star, 3 course cost under 17 GBP. I could eat at Arbutus 3 times for the 1 time at NOPI. Priced out. Having said that, I love the basement and the big tables. Take away the big pot of flowers that block my view of the kitchen.
