Kennington Tandoori

About Kennington Tandoori

The dining room at Kennington Tandoori is an elegant space dressed in lemon, plum and chocolate colours. Located on Kennington Road, this south London restaurant draws a local crowd and is always bustling with a lively mix of tables for two, business groups and families. The food is the real star of the show here, and the kitchen staff at Kennington Tandoori pay attention to detail - roasting and grinding all their own spices and making up all their own fresh stocks in-house. The menu – which is filled with classics such as the chicken tikka cooked with almonds, pistachios and coconut cream in a saffron sauce – is complimented by a bespoke wine list created by Caspar Auchterlonie.

We are regular diners at Kennington Tandori, London and this restaurant never fails to deliver excellent quality food that is packed full of flavour. This is not the most inexpensive restaurant, but like most things in life you get what you pay for, the food is authentic high quality Indian food, expertly prepared, beautifully served, delicately spiced etc. We would high recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten here previously and I've had mixed experiences with the food here. Some dishes have been outstanding, while others have been average and non-descript. Having said that, the food is normally of a good standard though I would expect this for the price. Some of the starters are quite pricey for what they are, though the mains are a bit better priced. Overall, I enjoy coming to the KT. I also think they could improve some things and make this a top dining experience.
