Pier 1 Fish and Chips

About Pier 1 Fish and Chips

Forget everything you know about fish and chip restaurants because London’s Pier 1 has changed the chippy for the better. Located on central London’s Haymarket, Pier 1 Fish and Chips offers a bright and airy, attractively decorated dining room with plenty of space and a relaxed but upmarket atmosphere. Staff are professional and friendly, providing informed opinions and recommendations to visitors from the surprisingly varied menu. Although reasonably priced, as fish and chip dining should be, Pier 1 prides itself on preparing sophisticated dishes using unique recipes and seafood of the very highest quality prepared by skilled fishmongers. In addition to Pier 1’s traditional fish - cod, haddock and plaice dipped in the kitchen’s signature light batter and fried in groundnut oil - the kitchen also offers a wide range of less usual dishes making use of deliciously fresh fish and seafood ingredients such as scallops and Dover sole. Good old fashioned nursery style puddings complete the menu, appealing to those with a sweet tooth and a good appetite.

Good fish & chips but not the best in london. Very convenient for a pre-theatre meal. Good selection on the menu. Worth a visit

Pier 1 was quite run-of-the-mill. Food was average, service was good. Menu had decent selection, apart the lack of non-mushy peas on the sides.

A very impressive first visit to Pier 1 in the Haymarket for a large hungry international group booking. The staff were welcioming and organised, and yes the fine variety of fish absolutely delicious, hot and beautifully presented. Woudl recommend checking teh Specialis fo teh day board if you are already happy to depart form traditional Fish and Chips, though you woudl want them too, as a lovley light tasty batter and chunku golden chips. On top of this the prices are totally reasonable!

This was a well located and friendly restaurant. The pre-theatre menu was very reasonabley priced! The food was not the best and neither was the house white - but all in all a very pleasant meal served very efficiently as we were in a hurry to make our show. Would recommend for a quick bite to eat!.==
