Toptable says about Langan's Bistro

Situated on Devonshire Street, next door to its sister restaurant Odin's, Langan's Bistro is a bijou gourmet haven just a stone's throw from Regent's Park. Inside, the comfortable furnishings and modern sketches that adorn the walls create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere that draws in the locals night after night. The reasonably priced prix fixe menus offer excellent value for money and the concise wine list features popular French wines which complement the Anglo-French menu. Popular dishes include pan-fried frogs legs with garlic and parsley butter; roast fillet of pork with parsnip puree and Madeira sauce; and grilled seabream with lemon roasted fennel. For dessert, try the legendary Mrs. Langan's chocolate pudding or choose from a selection of homemade ice-creams and sorbets.

Looked forward to our visit to Langan's Bistro and was not dissapointed. Had the "special" stuffed Veal belly, pleasant, not exceptional. Critisised my wife for choosing the Beef and Mushroom pie as being boring ! I was wrong, they couldn't have done it better! Restaurant itself small but interesting and the staff very pleasant without being intrusive, the only critisism was as the evening went on they did disappear a bit , probably to help out in their sister restaurant next door. Well worth it

Third time here, and Langan's Bistro does it again - great food nicely presented and fantastic service. Not cheap, but certainly worth it for a treat. As with our previous visits, the service made it for us - although being the last in the resturant on a week night, the waiting staff chatted with us on the way out, rather than rushing us. Service charge on the bill goes to the staff they tell me.

Langan's is a nice friendly local restaurant. It's a bit like eating in someone's front room. The food can be variable but the crispy duck was good and Mrs Langan's chocolate pudding is worth sharing.
