Toptable says about The Langley

toptable Dining Awards 2007 - Runner-up: Best Cheap Eats categoryIn the heart of London's busy West End, The Langley is a Covent Garden institution serving up excellent cocktails and a crowd-pleasing menu. As well as the industrial and futuristic main dining room, the venue has a number of different bars, each with their own atmosphere and identity. The restaurant is located just off the dancefloor so diners can settle in for cosy catch-ups and post-work snacks before busting a move to The Langley's great playlist. On the menu, there are international dishes like char-grilled steak with chunky chips; sizzling fajitas; crisp skinned sea bass; and classic Surf & Turf. For dessert, try their naughty but nice profiteroles or one of their delicious cocktails. We recommend the zingy Lynchburg Lemonade!

We had 2-for-1 on main courses at The Langley and also managed to get there in time for Happy Hour which made our meal even cheaper. Great place for a night out (good food and music), although some things were overpriced (the bread+oil starter and the bottle of still water). I would recommend it though.

We were at the Langley for a pre-theatre quick meal. The service was very pleasant and efficient, food was good - we'd go there again.

Saturday night at the Langley: incredibly noisy. The dining area/booths are kind of separated from the main bar, but the loud music (was a Saturday btw) made it hard to have a proper conversation. However I think the real problem lies elsewhere: I might be too old (early thirties) for this place (early 20's crowd). Food was alright. Good note: forgot my wallet when our group left - rushed back there 10mins l8r and the staff had it with them: so thx the guys - u saved my day!

We went to the Langley on a Saturday night and had the one course and a glass of wine for 9.95 deal. This was really good value for a Saturday and the food was great. It was the perfect place for a meal and drinks with friends although there was a 2 hour limit on our table. As it got quite crowded later on it wasn't really easy to sit and chat but good for having a dance. Drinks were quite expensive at the bar.

The service was very quick and the food was great. I would not however have liked to have been paying full price, but I think with the 2 for 1 offer this was really great value for money and I would definately go again.
