Grand Imperial

About Grand Imperial

If you think you know Cantonese food, the Grand Imperial restaurant in London’s bustling Victoria is here to prove that there’s more to this popular cuisine than you ever imagined. With a wealth of experience under his belt, chef Rand Cheung is the man responsible for taking Cantonese food to new gourmet heights in the Grand Imperial kitchen. Cheung’s exquisite cuisine focuses on the Cantonese area of Hong Kong, using outstanding ingredients including the best possible seafood and the freshest dim sum, all cooked to perfection and presented in a cordon bleu style more often seen in European cookery. Recommended set menus provide an opportunity to try the best of the Grand Imperial menu at a surprisingly generous price too. The setting here at Grand Imperial is just as special as the food, sleek and modern with marble pillars, original old fireplaces and featuring hand drawn calligraphy pieces and original art in a dining room entirely based around the ancient Eastern practice of Feng-shui.

It was a Valentine. At last minute we could not book anything. Our saver was a toptable! The enviroment of Grand Imperial was great, however food was nothing special and if we had paid a full price would had been disaponted.

Grand Imperial was as good as ever - so much better than your average chinese place. Fresh ingredients, tasty and authentic. Only downside is its a bit pricey and the atmosphere is a bit dull.

Lovely meal at Grand Imperial near Victoria. Had the £15 two course set menu plus a crispy duck, which was yummy!

Went for the express lunch menu at Grand Imperial, London - seemed like a good deal. However, I wasn't overly impressed - I had the dim sum starter - nothing special to be honest. I was more disappointed with my main - honey glazed pork served with noodles. I was expecting a bit more sauce or flavour in the noodles and also some vegetables! Instead it was literally a sliced portion of pork on bland egg noodles. Service was also a bit rushed - clearing plates whilst some were still eating!!
