A great evening, with a warm welcome and then the food... It was everything you would expect from a French restaurant, fantastic! Do try the John Dory superb! We will be back.

We had a very pleasant evening. I asked for 2 glasses of champagne and although the only have bottles on the menu, they poured us a glass each from a fresh bottle. Very attentive and friendly waiting staff. Our saucisse were ok, nothing spectacular, but very warming on a cold winter night. Dessert (Creme brulee and ice cream) was good and moorish. If I could make a suggestion, it would be a fresh towel or paper towels in the toilet.

My husband and I visited Le Montmartre Bistrot in Essex Road for the first time last night and were blown away. I had the very reasonable 3 course menu which at £11.50 was fantastic and my husband went a la carte and loved his venison dish. The service was great as was the ambience, we will definately be returning!

Ambiance was nice, and service attentive. Great prices for the dishes on the menu, however, I did find you get what you pay for. Starter of Escargot.... great flavour, but overcooked. Entrecote, again, great flavour and sauce, but the beef had too much gristle. Fantastic selection of wines at reasonable prices. All in all, not bad, and would return but would opt for something different from their menu.

We went to Le Montmartre bistro London last night. Very quiet before 8pm. Good food - however they really need to do something about the vegetarian selection. Our waiter was not very informaed about the food. However overall a good experience.
