Le Garrick Brasserie Restaurant
About Le Garrick Brasserie Restaurant
Le Garrick restaurant located between Leicester Square and Covent Garden, right in the middle of London's Theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant that's a favourite with theatrical types, business people and lovers of French cuisine. There's a homely restaurant at ground level where a table by the window will let you watch the Covent Garden passing parade, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks for romantic moments. Le Garrick's menu features classics and favourites of French bistro cooking, employing local, seasonal and organic (whenever possible) produce in dishes like grilled entrecôte with sauce au poivre and pommes frites on the side and lemon tarte with crème fraîche among the classic desserts. The two-course prix fixe menu is a lifesaver pre-theatre. The almost entirely French wine list offers wines by the carafe as well as the bottle and glass. In an area that's chockablock with chain eateries, Le Garrick is a one-off.

Le Garrick, is a small venue which serves very good French cuisine at a reasonable price. The service was good and the food excellent.
Staff attentive & friendly, food lovely, good choice on wines and all reasonably priced. The only negative as such, the place is quite small, if you suffer from claustraphobia you might prefer the ground floor instead. This wasn't an issue for us as we loved the ambience in the basement - you simply forget you are in London and feel like you are in a bistro in Paris (without the surliness!). Overall, great restaurant with plenty of character and va va voom. Rustic charm at its best.
Le Garrick, Covent Garden is a great place to eat, the cosy upstairs interior has candlelit tables and downstairs a further grotto of candlelit rooms and eating areas. The food was very quick to arrive which initally was a concern, however, on trying the mussells and frites, all concerns were forgotten as they were delicious. I would recommend this as a great place to dine in one of Londons busiest areas, average price for a main dish was £12 - 16 and tap water was offered as standard.
I had an excellent lunch at Le Garrick. Great food, excellent ambiance with good music playing unobtrusively in the background and very good service. Price was reasonable for this part of London and it is not a chain restaurant. All of which makes it a gem.
Good location with a lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Although we did find it a bit hard to get attention due to where we were sitting. Food wasn't amazing, but was tasy. And there were some wonderful aroma's which make me want to go back and try more of the menu.
