Myddelton House Gardens
About Myddelton House Gardens
Gardens created by E A Bowles (1865-1954). He was an enthusiastic collector who had a profound effect on the gardening public of the day. An artist and local benefactor, he also wrote several books which are still widely read today. Because the garden was created by its owner it has a 'personal feel' that is as rare as many of the plants that grow there. The garden is home to the national collection of award-winning Bearded Iris. There is also a beautiful carp lake, conservatory, a number of historical artefacts and over 1,000 naturalised bulbs.
