About Kensington Place

With a modern ambience, Kensington Place is the home of high quality food. It has a buzzing bar and a chic modern menu.

Toptable says about Kensington Place

To many in the know food lovers, Kensington Place is where the British food renaissance all began. This was the first place where you could really enjoy seriously good food - light and simple but with deft, complex touches, in what is essentially a very smart, of-the-moment brasserie setting. Kensington Place taught us to expect fabulous space, madly buzzing ambience, top service, and food that made us swoon. And now? With ex-La Noisette and Greenhouse chef Henry Vigar at the helm a revamped menu is better than ever before while a refreshed interior remains true to the original chic and relaxed concept. Still number-one choice for media and stage types and the lucky local denizens of Notting Hill, Kensington Place ramps up the see and be seen factor while appealing to foodies as well.

The set Sunday lunch at Kensington Place was briliant value for money. The portions weren't huge, but then when you're eating three course that's probably a good thing. The food was delicious, and the restaurant has a lovely, friendly, relaxed atomosphere.

We have been regulars at Kensington Place for the last seven years so were thrilled to be able to try one of our favourites with toptable. The set menu was fine, with a decent number of choices for each course. Enjoyed the food, but would still maintain that it is not as good since the head chef changed.

Kensington Place always delivers on quality. My octopus starter was a bit small, but my wifes broccoli soup was good. We both had fish pie as a main and enjoyed it.The chocolate fondent desert was the winning course.

Visited Kensington Place with friends to celebrate their recent engagement. The menu was good although tried a bit hard in places meaning the food didn't exactly come together. Sardine starter was disappointing but the soup was delicious. Mains were excellent and puddings again of mixed success. Good ambiance but service was inattentive and at times slightly rude. Would return but only for special offer menus... otherwise would be overpriced.
