Everything about this restaurant is authentically French, from the menu to the old fashioned decor to the curling script of the cartes. The mood is sympathique, cozy at lunch, intimate at dinner, and there are a few tables outside where you can dine well en plein air and watch the smoke for your Gauloises twist in the breeze. The homemade fish soup, Breton style en croute, is delightful, and the confit of duck with grenadine sauce is also a favourite. Wine list is unsuprisingly French, as is the charming welcome daily specials.

We had another lovely meal at Les Associes. The daily menu is a bargain with 3 choices for starter and mains. We both had Lamb Chartreuse with fish soup and chicken liver salad to start. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, a jewel of a local restaurant.
Lovely evening again at Les Associes in Crouch End. Good food, authentically french. Highly recommend.
