Independent local museum established in 1983 by local people, with the main aim of creating a riverside museum that reflects the rich heritage of the Wandle Valley. The museum hopes to move to Ravensbury Mill, Morden Road, Mitcham. Telephone (020) 8648 0127 for latest information. Displays feature William Morris, Arthur Liberty, snuff and tobacco and the Surrey Iron Railway.
Facilities
| Opening Times | Wednesday afternoon from 1.00-4.00pm and the first Sunday of the month from 2.00 -5.00pm. Admission charge of 50p for adults and 20p concessions. By appointment for guided tours and to individuals for research and private study with access to our archives and reference library. |
