The Wapping Project Restaurant
About The Wapping Project Restaurant
The Wapping Project is one of those stellar London gems that makes dining in the capital extra exciting. Set in the old Wapping Hydraulic Power Station, this industrial-chic restaurant is an incredible space filled with old equipment, industrial tiling, designer furniture and countless artworks. There's nowhere else quite like The Wapping Project in London where good food and company can be savoured in a restful, near-therapeutic raw space cheerfully informal by day and atmospheric by night. Fish specialities, mod Euro-grub and an all-Aussie wine list live up to the building. Both lunch and dinner menus change twice daily to cater for the freshest possible seasonal ingredients. No visit to this exciting venue would be complete without exploring the stark performance and art spaces which prove to give the Tate Modern a run for its money. A brilliant space for parties, events and fashion shows, The Wapping Project is a delight for aesthetes and serious food lovers alike.

The Wapping Project in London remains special. On a day full of weather challenges, it's the first time I've ever seen it relatively empty. Nevertheless, courteous service and excellent food made for a pleasant lunch. My only hesitation about visiting there more frequently is that it's a relatively expensive venue and does give me pause to return unless it's a special occasion.
The Wapping Project is not that hard to find: just look out for the disused power station. The interior is atmospheric and original and must look amazing at night from the number of candles on every industrial surface. We ate fish (good) and pork belly (very fatty), with a ginger cake desert (a bit dry), but the great and friendly service and some time in the adjacent art gallery afterwards (brilliant) made it a memorable visit. I'd go back for cocktails next time - they sound divine.
Service has improved at the Wapping Project! But food was disappointing. I paid £6.50 for a "fruit salad" which consisted of a green apple and green pear and that was it! No berries nothing. Very over-priced. They also don't seem to know what a flat white coffee is - which for an antipodean place (Australian) it was very disappointing. An americano with milk it is not.
The wapping project, london amazing place with great ambience, nice music and a very cool gallery at the back. I was there for lunch and the menu seemed a bit restricted and pricey but overall a great place to visit
This time the food was surprisingly good, we had rabbit and was really exceptional. Staff, as usual was not very friendly and very little welcoming... The venue, for the people who don't know it's truly amazing. A bit pricey.
