The ever-popular home of Brixton’s first leather sofas is still doing the business. Its extraordinary Jekyl and Hyde nature is as extreme as ever. For the uninitiated I refer to its weekly transformation from friendly, upbeat weekday evening haunt to the seething mass of sweaty drunken revelry it becomes at the weekend. A fort-knox security policy, entrance fees and queues are delightful weekend bonuses too. Top midweek hang-out, only to be braved at the weekend after plenty of Dutch courage.
