    Drama

    9 Feb 2012 to 16 Feb 2012

Kevin Hood’s witty and irreverent play 'The Astronomer's Garden' explores what it means to be a woman living in a man’s world. It is 1717, at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich. Bitter rivals Flamstead, the Astronomer Royal, and Sir Edmund Halley map the sky trying to solve the problem of longitude. Whilst Flamstead’s gaze remains firmly on the heavens, Sir Edmund resorts to more underhand means. Sending his nephew, Sir Philip Anstey, to Flamstead’s home, he throws the household and its women into disarray.

  • Dinner at LAMDA Drama School: Linbury Studio

    Drama

    8 Feb 2012 to 16 Feb 2012

Nominated for the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy in 2003, Moira Buffini’s 'Dinner' is an unforgiving satire that takes the ‘dinner from hell’ to a new level. A silent waiter serves an increasingly surreal meal to guests who are as educated and witty as they are selfish and depressed.

  • Europe at LAMDA Drama School: Linbury Studio

    Drama

    15 Mar 2012 to 22 Mar 2012

In a railway station near an unnamed border, Sava and Katia wait for the train that will take them to a brighter future. The station master is threatened by their optimism and ideals; his daughter, Adele, is fascinated. Exploring themes of hope and fear in a transient, modern Europe, David Greig’s play asks when you should stop striving for something better and settle for what you’ve got.
