The London Film Academy (LFA) is a non-profit making trust and a venture in practical film training, founded in 2002. The LFA's commitment is to teaching a wider range of practical skills, working on both film and digital mediums, allows students to find their creative voices whilst also enhancing their chances of making a living and forging a successful career in this field.

Cinematography: Shooting and Lighting for Film and Digital at London Film Academy

A two-day practical cinematography workshop that covers lighting and operating for film and digital video. It covers professional lighting set-ups for film (examples of lighting plans and practical demonstrations) and making the most of digital film through lighting and camera functions (white balance, shutter speed and manual focus).

Composing: Music in Film at London Film Academy

One of the most memorable aspects of a successful film is the music soundtrack. In this course, participants with a background in filmmaking or music composing will have the opportunity to study what it is that makes good film music, how it is produced across the industry; the different types of music and what they are used for in film, and, of course, how to obtain the right music for a project and get the best out of a relationship with a music composer.
