L’Oranger restaurant in London is the kind of special place you feared they weren’t making any more. It’s a pretty, polished French restaurant serving the classics of French cuisine. These seasonal works of art come from the kitchen of Laurent Michel who has served in triple-starred Michelin establishments in France before gracing St James’s with his savoir faire. The elegant dining room is lit by a glass-dome ceiling, filled with starched linen, fresh flowers and gleaming tableware and peopled with fleet uniformed waiters. Seasonally-changing Provencal dishes might include fillet of beef en croute with bone marrow and fourme d’Ambert cheese with veg cooked with rosemary barbajuans. Fine wines, superb cheeseboard, excellent service.

Lovely ambience but over priced in current market, the restaurant was mostly empty all night. wine service was very slow and of the wine despite restaurant being nearly empty. food ok, not great.
Perfect but for one my dry martini which was sweet and consequently horrible. Food was impeccable, service good, the atmosphere is a little stiff for my tatstes but there is at least an atmosphere.
Very enjoyable as per usual - L'oranger London is always a favourite for client lunches.
Very good - service is excellent - always looked after.
The chef of the L'Oranger has created a fabulous menu, the food was delicious! And we were taking out important clients who were impressed with both the food and the ambience, much more welcoming than a lot of the more prestigious and sterile places they're used to! A very successful evening all round.
