this is the kind of restaurant where if you go regularly you get greeted like an old friend - nothing's too much trouble and if there's something you fancy that's not on the menu just ask

I ordered the pizza L'Osteria, which was topped with fresh Italian bacon, peppers and onions. It was a great combination and tasted delicious. The large glass of merlot, however was not worth almost £8.....All in all, it is a lovely restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone who like Italian food.

L'Osteria 57 has a cosy & welcoming atmosphere. The food was above average and was resonable value for money. The toilets were a bit if a distance, down a staircase, then up another (perhaps there was a short-cut, but I was unaware of it!). I would go there again and would recommend it to people looking for somewhere in that particular area (I think it makes a great 'local') - but not to people who would need to travel a distance for the occasion.

Food was good without being excellent. Service was good and atmosphere was welcoming.

A fantastic £17.50 set Xmas lunch - the food was excellent, the service as ever was superb, and this is fast becoming one of our favourite lunchtime haunts.
