Luna Rossa

About Luna Rossa

Located just moments from Portobello Road, Luna Rossa has brought tasty and traditional Italian cuisine to the heart of Notting Hill. The comfortably rustic interior and friendly service make it the perfect setting for laid-back lunches and full-on feasts after a hard day of shopping. Local food fans love to start with delicious antipasti and then move on to homemade pastas and Southern Italian specialties like char-grilled tuna steak with grilled Mediterranean vegetables and fresh mint. Luna Rossa’s signature dish is pizzametro – literally wood-fired ‘pizza by the metre’, where different topping combinations sit side by side on the same base. Why not try the Funghetto with mushrooms, rocket and truffle oil while your friends tuck in to a classic Margherita?

Visited Luna Rossa on NYE for dinner. Not up to it's normal standard, it was very quiet for some reason and had only a limited set menu on offer. That said, the steak was good. They did run out of dessert which they apologised for. All in all, not bad

Four of us ate early evening at Luna Rossa in Kensington Park Road in London. We had a problem finding the restaurant as it seemed to be called something else and we had to go by the street number. The food and service were excellent, my only complaint being that plates were cleared before we had all finished.I hope to return and would recommend it.

I've been to Luna Rossa on Kensington Park Road a couple of times and I find it friendly and efficient and tasty. The portions are good. They made a mistake with my pasta this time, adding onion when I'd asked for it without. Our waiter apologised for his mistake, brought me a freshly cooked plate as soon as he could and I was more than happy. I'd return. The only thing I'd say is that £10 is expensive for a plate of pasta.
