The Waterway

About The Waterway

A much acclaimed restaurant in London’s refined Maida Vale, The Waterway is the best place in which to enjoy the watery wonders of the area known as Little Venice. Established in 2002, The Waterway is now considered one of the capital’s finest al fresco dining experiences, offering wonderful views of the meandering Grand Union Canal from a large 120 seater heated terrace surrounded by colourfully painted narrow boats, verdant greenery and an almost village-y atmosphere too. When the famous London weather hits and diners are forced inside, The Waterway offers a cosy, ski-chalet style space, with its wood clad walls and leather settees, just as atmospheric and chic as its outdoor space. Varying widely, from leisurely, delicious brunches to decadent, light and flavourful summer dinners especially designed to be enjoyed al fresco, The Waterway’s menus are designed by Chef Christophe Clerget to blend the best of British with the sophistication of French cookery.

The Waterway in Little Venice has a great location on the side of the canal. The food was really tasty and just the right amount. Definitely recommend the venison. With 30% discount you'll pay about £20 for 3 courses, good value for quality food. Toilets however could definitely be improved.

From the outside the building doesnt look like much - but once inside and looking out onto the waterfront it comes into its own. And the food is great to boot too. Really good value mid-week meal, the restaurant was busy but not packed- and well lit. Had nice 3 courses with a decent mid-range bottle of white. Will definately return to The Waterway
