The Mall Tavern
About The Mall Tavern
Old meets new at The Mall Tavern bar and restaurant situated just off of Notting Hill Gate. First opened in the 1800s, The Mall has long been a favourite of the locals of both Notting Hill and Kensington, providing food and drink, a congenial atmosphere and entertainment, not to mention that most cherished of spaces, a sunny garden. Authentic and traditional throughout, from the scrubbed wood furnishings to the chandelier lighting fixtures, advertising mirrors and even the old Joanna that seems to invite a true old fashioned knees up. In The Mall Tavern’s kitchen, chef Jesse Dunford Wood prepares traditional, seasonal British food in keeping with the surroundings in which the dishes are enjoyed.

A fabulous and different menu. I had never before had roast chicken cooked and served in a pastry crust to be carved at the table. It was sensational! Great find, can't wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu.
Sunday roast at the Mall Tavern continues to be the best in the area. On a nice day, friends and families stop by after a visit to Kensington Gardens, and the atmosphere is lively. Mall Tavern is one of our favorites in the area.
Utterly excellent...as always.
The Mall Tavern is always a pleasure on a sunday afternoon, we had the roast which they very kindly served us with a piece of fish, love their crispy potatoes and fresh tasty veg, the fish was amazing (but the meat also looks fantastic) - has to be my favourite place for a roast in notting hill.
We visited the Mall Tavern in Notting Hill for Sunday lunch. We all had roast dinners but two of us substituted fish for the meat. The fish was amazing good, crispy skin, flesh juicy and tender. Both the pork and the beef looked lovely, cooked nice and rare. Potatoes and yorkshires both excellent. Lovely veg. I'm struggling to find any fault so I will just mention the virgin mary relied too much on tabasco for spice rather than the worcestershire (tho thats more of a personal preference!) Great!
