Quantus

About Quantus

Chiswick's Quantus Restaurant single-handedly proves that small neighbourhood restaurants are now holding their own against the big city hitters. Mainly catering to local residents who, in this well- heeled and expensive London suburb, are used to good service, attractive surroundings and high quality food, Quantus is proving to be a real favourite, with guests returning often. The white walled simplicity of the décor is given pretty, designer style touches with the addition of large, lace pattern light fixtures, a touch of exposed brick and a well laid out bar. Quantus has a buzzy, cosmopolitan feel appropriate to its French and Italian roots, with staff who are extremely cordial and appear to know the menu well. And that menu is certainly worth knowing. Combining Gallic and Italian influences as flavours, Quantus's food is inventive without veering in to pretension, dishes presented beautifully but certainly not at the expense of flavour. Romantic and chic, Quantus might be a 'little local' but it's got big city style.

We went to Quantus in Chiswick on a Saturday evening and had a lovely dinner - their soup is completely divine. Prices are reasonable, service is always professional, accommodating and friendly (I've been there three times now) and the food is tasty. Altogether exactly the kind of thing we were after and we will return!

A lunchtime visit to Quantus in Chiswick confirmed that it's as good as ever. How this place isn't heaving with customers is beyond me. Juan and his staff are very pleasant and accomodating. Want two starters instead of a dessert, no problem! Want different veg side dish again no problem. Seasoning is spot on & the food is very tasty and subtantial. On this visit the zucchini & gorgonzola soup and the pork fillet with mustard & mash stood out. This place deserves a visit.

This was our second visit to Quantas in Chiswick. We were greeted and seated promptly. We opted for the 3 course set menu, which has a decent selection of dishes.. The food was good and service was fine. The only criticism was being seated in a slightly cramped part of the restaurant.
