We were almost the only diners, the food was quite slow in coming though my set meal was very hearty and appropriate for a diabetic. my friends had a rib of beef which was delicious but seemed odd to offer no vegetables with such a dish. All was tasty and we got what was described.
We ate at the Marquess Tavern in Islington for the first time in a while and it was very good. The food has gone up a notch and the menu is interesting. The service was friendly. Definitely worth a re-visit now.

We visited the Marquis in Canonbury for New Years eve, and as ever it was a very pleasant experience. Food was good, service good, will go back
